Fort Campbell soldiers returning from deployment

Fort Campbell officials say while thousands of local troops are expected to deploy in the coming months in support of Operation Enduring Freedoom, thousands of other soldiers are expected to return home this week.

Soldiers from the 8-87th Engineer Support Company, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade are scheduled to return home from their nine-month deployment to Afghanistan this Friday.

During their deployment, the soldiers mostly provided direct support to the 172nd Infantry Brigade.
