The boil water advisory that was issued earlier today for Oak Grove residents living on the west end of Walter Garrett Lane near 41-A and in the Mace Lane Area has been cancelled.
A news release from City Hall says the boil advisory will be in effect for Monday instead.
On Monday, residents are urged to boil water for about 3 minutes and let it cool down before its used.
Officials say the water isn’t believed to be contaminated, but the advisory was issued out of caution after a water main had to be repaired near the north end of Mace Lane.
Residents living in the affected areas, are encouraged to contact 270-439-5433 if they have any questions about the boil water advisory.
