Gov announces turn lane construction on bypass

The increased speed limit on US 68 wasn’t the only local roadway improvement announced when Governor Steve Beshear came to Christian County Tuesday.      

The Governor announced a turn lane will be constructed on the bypass in the coming months to turn left into the Eagle Cove Subdivision.

                                              

Governor Beshear said construction should begin sometime in the spring.

                                              

Local officials have been lobbying for the improvements as the area has become an area for congestion when vehicles are waiting to make the left turn.
