Rear end collision injures Hopkinsville woman

A rear-end collision at 9th and Railroad yesterday afternoon injured a Hopkinsville woman.

The incident happened around 12:20, according to the Hopkinsville Police report, which says 45-year old Julie Peterson of Hopkinsville was stopped in traffic when she was rear-ended by 19-year old Emily Watson of Fort Campbell. Ms. Watson told police she tried to stop, but wasn’t able to in time to avoid a wreck.

Ms. Peterson, who was wearing her seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for neck pain. Ms. Watson was also restrained and went uninjured.
