Household items desperately needed for fire victims

Officials with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Salvation Army say household items are desperately needed for several local families that have been displaced as a result of the early morning fire at a downtown apartment complex.

Captain Mark Czanderna is asking residents to donate household goods like beds, couches, clothes and appliances for the families.

Czanderna says he hopes area residents will be able to pull through and help the families who lost everything in the fire at the apartment complex located at East 21st and Hazel.

For residents who would like to donate household items to the families in need are asked to contact, 270-885-9563.
