Officials confirm death of local soldier

Military officials say a Special Forces soldier has died as a result of injuries he sustained in Afghanistan last month.

Sergeant First Class Aaron Henderson of Maine was wounded on Wednesday, September 12th and died today at the hospital at Bagram Air Field.

Henderson was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group located at Fort Campbell and died as a result of injuries he suffered following a blast from an improvised explosive device.
