National Preparedness Month was a success

National Preparedness month has come to an end, and officials with the Pennyrile Regional Citizen Corps Council say it was a successful campaign.

Chairman Dan Nicholson says it took the efforts of countless volunteers across the Pennyrile to get the preparedness message out in September and that is exactly what happened.

Nicholson says even though National Preparedness Month is over, that doesn’t mean the council will stop reminding citizens to make a kit to be ready for when the worst happens.

Anyone wanting to become involved in the Citizen Corps Council or wanting more information on how to become prepared can call the PADD office in Hopkinsville.
