A young woman was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a vehicle versus ambulance wreck on Tiny Town Road last night.
Clarksville Police say a Montgomery County EMS ambulance driven by 26-year old Jessica Hawkins was eastbound on Tiny Town around 8:15 with lights and sirens activated.
A news release says 21-year old Linh Do was driving a small car was in the eastbound center turn lane of Tiny Town and turned into the path of the ambulance. Ms. Hawkins reportedly tried to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so and the two vehicles collided at the Barkers Mill Road intersection.
The woman’s car struck a curb, went down an embankment and hit two parked vehicles in an apartment complex parking lot. Do was flown to Vanderbilt and is in stable condition, while Ms. Hawkins and her co-worker went uninjured.
The ambulance was not transporting a patient at the time of the wreck.
