A Princeton Police Officer has been suspended with pay, though the reasons for that action remain unclear.
The Princeton Times-Leader reports Officer Abigail Tucker also serves as Caldwell County’s animal control officer and that the suspension took effect after she met with Commonwealth’s Attorney G.L Ovey, County Attorney Bridgie Miller and Judge-Executive Brock Thomas.
Officer Tucker told the paper she refused to resign from either position and that she doesn’t know any specifics about any charges or any allegations that are being leveled against her.
She says she is retaining he own legal counsel and supporters have established the Abigail Tucker Legal Fund at First Southern National Bank.
The Times Leader reports the investigation does not apparently extend into the non-profit Caldwell County Animal Rescue organization.
