A man wanted for a triple-stabbing in Evansville last week was arrested late last night southbound on the Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins County.
A news release from Kentucky State Police says the U.S. Marshal’s Service notified KSP that 28-year old Tavon Burns of Evansville was traveling southbound on the parkway in Hopkins County around 10:40 last night.
Troopers found Burns at the 35 mile-marker near White Plains and arrested him without incident and lodged him in the Hopkins County Jail.
Burns was wanted for an incident Wednesday in Evansville, where he allegedly stabbed 24-year-old Dante E. Ray, 21-year-old Deandre Issac Kendrick Stalling, and 22-year-old Rondre Casinova Cook, all from Evansville.
Police in Indiana say Burns was in an argument with one of the men and began stabbing him when the other two jumped in to intervene. That’s when Burns allegedly stabbed all three.
The victims are expected to live, though one sustained severe cuts to the stomach—according to Evansville media outlets.
