A Hopkinsville Police Department sergeant graduated from an academy for supervisors this week.
Sgt. Michael Felts was one of 20 law enforcement officers from across Kentucky to graduate from the Criminal Justice Executive Development Program, which is an advanced leadership course designed for supervisors at the state’s small and medium sized agencies.
A news release says the five week program focuses on identifying, analyzing and solving problems as well as leadership, personnel administration, operations, fiscal management, executive and environmental relationships.
The classes are meant to encourage the development of visionary thinkers, according to the release.
