| HPD arrests man accused of damaging HMS baseball field |
|
Over a thousand dollars worth of damage was allegedly done to Christian County School System property early this morning by a Hopkinsville man who was arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail. The arrest card says 24-year old Justin Miller of Hopkinsville was doing “doughnuts” on the newly constructed Hopkinsville Middle School baseball field on Koffman Drive and that he ran into and destroyed a concrete backstop. Miller’s alleged actions also left ruts in the field and tore up the grass. Total estimated damage was listed in excess of a thousand dollars. The crime will also undoubtedly have ill-effects on the baseball season, as practices are already well underway. Miller was charged with 1st degree criminal mischief and lodged in the Christian County Jail. ** 02/26/2012/am |
