A Christian County school bus was involved in a wreck on Lafayette Road yesterday afternoon, though there were thankfully no injuries.

That incident happened around 3:30, when bus driver 63-year old Roxie Mounts of Hopkinsville reportedly turned her bus left off Gateway Lane onto Lafayette and into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by 44-year old David Sova of Hopkinsville.

Sova tried to stop and veered off the road in an attempt to avoid a collision, but the two vehicles banged mirrors and Sova ran into a ditch.

Both drivers and the 25 students on board the bus went uninjured.
