| Woman allegedly drives drunk with toddler in back seat |
|
A Hopkinsville woman was arrested Friday night for allegedly driving drunk with her three-year old child in the back seat. In fact, police say 36-year old Tiffani Harrison of Hopkinsville had a blood alcohol content of .230—nearly three times the legal limit of .800. Harrison was pulled over after she almost collided with a police cruiser, according to the arrest card, which says empty beer bottles and cans were found in the vehicle at the traffic stop on Glass Avenue shortly after 7pm. Officers also smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and Harrison’s person and she reportedly failed field sobriety tests. She was also allegedly driving on a suspended license with her three-year old son and a friend in the vehicle. Harrison was charged with DUI, wanton endangerment and driving on a suspended license. ** 02/19/2012/am |
