Law enforcement officials in Graves County believe two Hopkinsville men along with another individual are the suspects who opened fire inside a Graves County home early this morning.
Police arrested three suspects, 24-year old James Allen Kirby, 40-year old Richard Phipps both of Hopkinsville and a third male, whose name has not been released.
Graves County Sheriff DeWayne Redmond told a reporter from WPSD that they believe Kirby and Phipps knocked on the door of Richard and Sharon Jett's home and forced their way into the residence and shot both of them.
At the time of the shooting, the couple’s daughter and grandchild were home, but were not injured.
The Jetts are reportedly still in serious condition at a local hospital.
The two Hopkinsville men remain behind bars and are charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of robbery, one count of burglary, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
