Another court-martial date set for Brent Burke

A general court-martial date for a Fort Campbell soldier charged with murder has been rescheduled for May.
Fort Campbell officials say the general court-martial date for Sergeant Brent Burke has been rescheduled for May 2nd after officials say a continuance was granted by the military judge and was agreed to by both the government and Burke’s defense counsel.
As previously reported by Lite 98.7, Burke is charged with violating several sections of the Uniform Code of Military Justice by killing Tracy Burke and Karen Comer inside Comer’s Rineyville residence on September 11th 2007.
In addition to the murder charges, Burke is also charged with committing burglary for allegedly unlawfully entering the residence of Karen Comer.
Burke remains in pre-trial confinement at a local civilian confinement facility to a general court-martial, which is the most serious level of military courts.
