Clarksville Police arrested a man early this morning accused of firing gunshots at two security guards.
A news release says officers were called to the 2200 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard around 3am after several shots were fired at a business and at two of its security personnel.
The guards had told the two suspects they had to leave the business after a verbal altercation with patrons inside. As the suspects drove away, at least one pulled out a gun and fired shots into the air and then toward the guards.
No one was hit and police made contact with the vehicle shortly thereafter. The vehicle initially pulled over, but sped away when officers approached.
The vehicle spun out on Eva Drive and the occupants fled. Officers were able to catch 29-year old Christopher Michael Wilson of Pine Mountain Road and he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault. Police say they believe he was the perpetrator who fired the shots.
He was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on $30,000 bond.
