A group of Fort Campbell Soldiers will get a once in a lifetime opportunity this evening when they are flown by the owner of the Tennessee Titans to the Super Bowl.
Post Public Affairs says 33 Fort Campbell Soldiers will be heading to Indianapolis for the big game, thanks to the support of Titans owner Bud Adams.
The soldiers, who have earned non-commissioned officer and soldier of the year awards—among others, will represent Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division at the country’s biggest sporting event of the year.
Adams is a World War II veteran and was named the first recipient of the Salute to Service award yesterday at the inaugural NFL Honors award ceremony. Fort Campbell Commanding Major General James McConnville congratulated Adams on the award and for continuing to support the men and women of Fort Campbell.
