The Hopkinsville Fire Department report on Saturday night’s fire at Kentucky American Seed is now available. The document says eight trucks and 18 firemen responded to 205 Means Avenue just after 11pm and had the blaze under control by 11:20. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with the report saying it began in a records storage room and that it spread along the floor. In all, the blaze did $50,000 worth of damage toe the structure and $10,000 in damage to contents. No one was injured and Kentucky American Seed is operating out of another portion of its building. ** |
