There have been more filings for Hopkinsville City Council seats. The only non-incumbent to file so far is Republican Jason McCraw, who is challenging for the Ward 5 seat currently held by Democrat Charlie Henderson. Ward 7 and 8 Democrats Peggy Everett and Marby Schlegel filed at the courthouse, as has Ward 9 incumbent Patricia Bell. Ward 2 councilperson Kimberly McCarley has also file for re-election. Candidates run exclusively in their wards for the primary election, but run a citywide race if they make it to the general election. ** |
