Two file for new State Senate district including Todd Co.

The woman currently representing Todd County in the State House is making a bid to do so in the State Senate.

Representative Martha Jane King of Lewisburg announced her intentions to run for the 27^th District Senate seat recently created by re-districting. The district includes Todd, Logan, Muhlenberg, Allen, Simpson and a portion of Warren Counties.

Representative King will face Republican State Representative Jim DeCesare of Bowling Green, if both candidates make it through the primary election, with neither currently opposed in May.

Representative DeCesare was re-districted with two other Republican State Representatives and decided to run for the Senate instead of taking his chances in a three-way primary.
