Human remains were found yesterday along Highway 2171 in Hopkins County, along with personal possessions of a man missing since June 20th.
Madisonville Police say the items belonged to 35-year old Jeremy Goodwin, who was last seen leaving a sports bar with 48-year old Arthur Deramo of Nevada. Deramo would later be charged with Unlawful Imprisonment for his alleged role in Goodwin’s disappearance, as the last anyone heard from Goodwin was a 911 call when he reportedly asked Deramo to drop him off.
Goodwin’s mother tells WFIE TV in Evansville that she hopes the remains are not that of her son, but that it will at least provide some closure if it is him. Dozens of police officers, federal officials and detectives cordoned off the area and scoured the land and Madisonville Police reportedly said they found new evidence.
