Hopkinsville man killed in morning wreck

A Hopkinsville man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on the Pennyrile Parkway early this morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Captain Chris Miller says 45-year old Tyler Woodrow of Hopkinsville was southbound on the Parkway near the 2 mile-marker and was attempting to pass another vehicle when he ran off the roadway.

Woodrow lost control of his vehicle, causing it to flip and come to final rest upside down on the highway. Police say he was ejected from the car, and was found lying next to the wreckage when crews first arrived.

EMS crews treated him on the scene and he would later die at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Police are working to determine if there were any other factors involved in the wreck. It was not determined if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
