Princeton Police continue to investigate a shooting on Hopkinsville St. from Monday evening.

A story in the Princeton Times Leader identifies the victim as 53-year old Rita Walker of 905 Hopkinsville, with Ms. Walker reportedly telling police she was lying in her bed just before 7pm Monday when someone fired multiple shots through a window of her home.

She was hit multiple times and is being treated at an out of state hospital, where she is expected to recover.

Assistant Police Chief R.L. Howton told the paper it appears someone intentionally targeted the residence. Walker’s daughter, Simberly Cansler, was also home at the time of the shooting, but was not hurt.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Princeton Police at 365-2041.
