Three Hopkinsville council members file for re-election

Three incumbent Hopkinsville City Council members have filed their papers for re-election.

Ward 3 Councilman Don Ahart, Ward 6 Democrat Ann Cherry and Ward 10 member Jimmy Dossett have filed appropriate paperwork at the Christian County Clerk’s office.

City Council candidates must run a partisan primary within the precincts of their ward, but run a citywide race in November if there is an opponent from another political party or an independent candidate.
