A house fire on Mosley Drive yesterday afternoon did significant damage to the residence and contents.

Seven trucks and 16 fire-fighters responded to 1709 Mosley just before 4pm, where crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

No one was injured in the incident, though the blaze would do $45,000 in damages to the structure and $10,000 to contents. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

The residence is owned by Cathy Carpenter of Hopkinsville and Margaret Radford rents the home, according to the report.

The structure was valued at $60,000 before the fire.
