HPD investigating theft of 35K in cash

A Hopkinsville man says over $50,000 worth of cash and property was stolen from his Deepwood Drive residence yesterday morning.

Fred Hillman told Police someone broke into his home on Deepwood and took several items of expensive jewelry, a flatscreen television and $35,500 in 100 dollar bills.

Hillman said he left around 6:30am and the items were gone when he returned home. No suspects are listed on the report and the investigation continues.
