Trigg Co. wreck victim improving

Officials at Vanderbilt University Medical Center say the condition of a woman injured in a wreck in Trigg County yesterday morning has improved.

A hospital spokesperson says 47-year old Scarlett Sexton of Cadiz is now in stable condition, after being listed as critical, but stable in the hours after the wreck.

Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam said Ms. Scarlett ran off U.S. 68-80 around 8:30am and went down an embankment, striking several trees. The Trigg County Rescue Squad cut her from the wreckage and she was flown to Vanderbilt via helicopter.
