A Sunday morning wreck on U.S. 68-80 in Trigg County sent the driver to a Nashville hospital. Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam says 47-year old Scarlett Sexton of Cadiz was westbound around 8:38am when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road just west of Hilltop Market. Ms. Sexton’s vehicle traveled about 485 feet down an embankment, striking several trees in the process. The Trigg County Rescue Squad had to extricate Ms. Sexton from the wreckage. A helicopter took her to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she is listed in critical, but stable condition. |
