| Seven DUI arrests in Clarksville over weekend |

Seven people were arrested for allegedly driving impaired over the New Year’s weekend by Clarksville Police. Extra patrols were put on Clarksville streets, partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, which resulted in seven DUI arrests, 29 speeding tickets, 23 equipment violations and 17 citations for drivers unable to provide proof of insurance. In all, 94 vehicles were stopped and 100 charges were levied as a result of the stops. ** |
