Indiana man arrested for evading police

An Indiana man learned the hard way yesterday morning that breaking the law will land him behind bars.

19-year old Adrian Almaraz of Chandler, Indiana is now charged with 1st degree fleeing and evading police, no operators license, reckless driving, possession of alcohol by a minor, improper start from a parked position.

According to Kentucky State Police, Almaraz fled from a traffic safety checkpoint on KY 16-82 in Christian County and continued traveling northbound to the Pennyrile Parkway, where he exited the parkway and traveled eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

State police say after a brief vehicle pursuit, the 19-year old was taken into custody without incident.

Almaraz remains booked into the Christian County.
