A Fort Campbell soldier who is listed as absent without leave from the Army turned himself into police early this morning.
According to Clarksville Police, 32-year old Joseph Brent Adkins was booked into the Montgomery County Jail around 1:30 a.m. and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
Adkins reportedly had six warrants on file for his arrest and is accused of stealing $1,800 worth of merchandise from a Wilma Rudolph Boulevard store.
Police say the 32-year old soldier and another man, 27-year old David Preston Saunders, are the individuals who are responsible for committing multiple thefts.
Saunders was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on December 23rd shortly after he allegedly shoplifted with Adkins at a Dover Crossing Kroger’s.
