Gee

There have been numerous jewelry thefts in Hopkinsville this year and one of the alleged perpetrators was arrested yesterday.

Arrested on the strength of a warrant signed by District Judge Arnold Lynch was 52-year old Gregory Gee of Hopkinsville. Gee was taken into custody on Parklawn Ct. around 9am.

The warrant alleges that Gee possessed two jewelry items valued at $1,500 that were removed from a home in November and turned them in for scrap at a local jewelry store in December for only $61.

Police were able to recover one of the items for the owner, but the more expensive item had already been sent off for scrap. Gee was charged with Theft by Deception and Receiving Stolen Property.
