| Oak Grove Police cruiser involved in I-24 wreck |
|
An Oak Grove Police Department vehicle was involved in a wreck on I-24 in Marshall County today and State Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation. The incident happened around 9:30am near the 29 mile-marker, according to the report, which says 40-year old Lori Kryszewski of Clarksville was transporting two juveniles from Paducah to Hopkinsville in a Oak Grove Police vehicle when a car in front of her changed lanes quickly, causing her to apply her brakes and steer to the left. The cruiser then ran off the road, causing Ms. Kryszewski to over-correct and strike a vehicle driven by 36-year old Lisa Pye of Carbondale, Illinois. Both vehicles then ran off the road and came to final rest in a field, with no injuries reported. State Police have collected witness accounts and are still trying to determine if the unidentified vehicle which changed lanes may have made contact with the Oak Grove cruiser and caused the wreck. Anyone who witnessed the crash and didn’t stop is asked to call State Police and provide any information possible. |
