Officials with Kentucky State Police say three people lost their lives on Kentucky Roadways over the Christmas holiday weekend.
All three victims were in motor vehicles and two of the three were not wearing a seat belt. The wrecks happened in Hardin, Hart and Warren Counties between Friday at 6pm and Monday night at 11:59.
Through Monday, 709 people had lost their lives on Kentucky roadways, which is 45 less than the number from a year ago. Of those 709, 564 were in motor vehicles and 287 of those were not wearing a seat belt.
Tragically, 118 lives have been lost on Kentucky roadways this year in wrecks involving the use of alcohol.
