Fort Campbell Cavalry officer thankful

A Fort Campbell officer says spending time with his family during Christmas was priceless.

1-32 Cavalry Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Paul Taylor says a little down time for soldiers goes a long way, especially since many Fort Campbell soldiers have undergone multiple deployments.

Meanwhile, the Lieutenant Colonel says while his soldiers are enjoying a little time off, it’s going to be business as usual at the start of the New Year in preparing soldiers for yet another rendezvous with destiny in Afghanistan.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, soldiers assigned to the 1-32 Cavalry Regiment traveled to Fort Knox, Kentucky to undergo mounted patrol training, which Lieutenant Colonel Taylor says helped soldiers familiarize themselves with weapons they will likely be using while they are deployed.
