An alleged burglar was arrested by Hopkinsville Police over the weekend.

Police arrested and charged 25-year old Sebastian Gomez with one count of 2^nd degree burglary on Christmas.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Middle Street in reference to a stabbing and when officers arrived on the scene, they found Gomez heavily intoxicated with a cut on his arm and traced blood splatter to a broken window.

Witnesses at the scene told officers Gomez entered a residence by force and went through the residence and on his way out, punched one of the windows causing it to shatter.

The 25-year old was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment and then was released into police custody.
