Johnson coaches Fort campbell youth/photo provided by Shirley Swails While Christmas will always be a day of joy and celebration, it is always important to remember those who are feeling a great sense of sadness on the holidays. That is certainly the case this morning for the family of Fort Campbell High School head track and assistant football coach Tyrone Johnson, who passed away Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after experiencing a severe asthma attack earlier in the week. Johnson was set to begin his first season at the helm of the track team, after serving as an assistant to Josh McKillip and being part of state championship teams. He was also a part of the football dynasty that brought home trophies in recent years for the blue and white. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening at McReynolds, Nave and Larson Funeral Home on Madison Street in Clarksville. Funeral Services will be 11am Wednesday at Faith Outreach Church in Clarksville. ** 12/25/2011/am |
