Clarksville Police searching for AWOL soldier

Clarksville Police need your help locating a Fort Campbell soldier that is listed as absent without leave from the Army and who is wanted in connection with a crime.

Police are looking for 32-year old Joseph Brent Adkins, who has six warrants on file for two felony thefts among other charges.

According to police, Adkins stole $1,800 worth of merchandise from a Wilma Rudolph Boulevard store and has been out of jail since October after he served time for a DUI charge.

Adkins is believed to be driving a blue 2005 Dodge Pick-up truck with Tennessee tags of 476-XMF.

The 32-year old soldier is also accused of shoplifting at Kroger’s located on Dover Crossing with another male, 27-year old David Preston Saunders, who was arrested early this morning and was booked into the Montgomery County jail and has two burglary, a criminal impersonation and theft charges added to the nine warrants already pending against him.
