Over 100 Fort Campbell soldiers return from deployment

Over 100 Fort Campbell soldiers returned from their year long deployment in Iraq, just in time for the holidays.

According to post officials, the 140 Screaming Eagles are the last combat troops from the Iraq war.
The soldiers were assigned the 101st Sustainment Brigade and their return marks the official end to the Iraq war, which began March 21st, 2003.

101st Commanding General, Major General James McConnville reportedly welcomed the local soldiers home and thanked them for their service and sacrifice during a welcome home ceremony for the troops.
