

Pendleton King
State Senator Joey Pendleton of Hopkinsville has announced he will seek another term in that post.
Senator Pendleton has served since 1993 and says in a news release that he wants to continue to use his seniority and position on key committees to increase opportunities and improve the quality of life for the people of the 3rd District.
He says education, health care and jobs must be the priorities for state government. Christian County Attorney Mike Foster and Judge-Executive Steve Tribble signed his official notification and declaration papers, according to the release.
Senator Pendleton defeated Republican Fiscal Court Magistrate Tom Jones in the 2008 general election. Senator Pendleton represents Christian, Todd and Logan Counties.
Also filing her papers for re-election was 16th District State Representative Martha Jane King, who represents Todd and Logan Counties.
