Hopkinsville man arrested for Iowa burglary

A man from Hopkinsville was arrested all the way in Iowa Friday for allegedly being part of a home invasion and assault.

North Liberty, Iowa Police were called to a residence there around 11am Friday for a report of a woman who had been assaulted by men who broke into her apartment. The men also allegedly stole items from the residence, according to a story in the “Press-Citizen” newspaper.

Police believed the suspects fled the scene in a tan-colored car and located a vehicle meeting the description nearby. Among those arrested was 34-year old David Tylon Thomas of Hopkinsville, who was charged with 1st Degree Burglary.

The two other suspects were from Illinois and Iowa.
