A Slaughters couple was injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Hopkins County Friday evening.

The incident happened around ten minutes after 6pm, according to the report from State Police, which says 58-year old Phillip Duncan of Slaughters was stopped at a red light on US-41 at the intersection with KY 260 facing southbound.

Approaching him from behind was 63-year old Roger Kirkwood of Madisonville, who reportedly didn’t stop and rear-ended the Duncan vehicle.

Duncan and his wife—59-year old Marla Duncan—were taken by ambulance to Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
