| City garbage truck catches fire |

A City of Hopkinsville garbage truck caught fire during its route yesterday afternoon. The Hopkinsville Fire Department was called to Stone Valley Drive around 1:45pm, where fire-fighters found smoke coming from the back of the truck. The four trucks and eight fire-fighters were able to get the blaze out quickly and the truck was “closed down” and driven back to the landfill on Mount Zoar-Latham Road. No damage cost estimate is listed on the report. ** |
