A rear-end collision on Glass Avenue at North Drive yesterday injured a passenger.

The incident happened around 3:45, according to the report from Hopkinsville Police, which says 23-year old Michael Butler of Hopkinsville was stopped at the traffic light with 30-year old Brooke Randall stopped in her vehicle behind him.

When the light turned green, Butler was able to pull forward briefly, but had to quickly stop again with traffic. Ms. Randall didn’t notice traffic had stopped and ran into the back of Butler’s vehicle.

A passenger in Butler’s car, 25-year old Jameyel Hodge of Hopkinsville, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for back pain. Butler was cited for not having proof of insurance on his vehicle.
