The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating an alleged case of sexual assault that took place yesterday.

The 30-year old female victim told police that a male neighbor had deviate sexual relations with her by force at her Bryan Street residence.

Police say due to the nature of the alleged crime, an individual may be charged with 1st degree sodomy.
