Clarksville man pinned between a wall and vehicle identified

Clarksville Police have released the name of the man who was pinned between a wall and vehicle Monday afternoon.

Police have identified the man as 72-year old David Harmon of Clarksville, who police say is listed in stable condition.

As previously reported, on Monday, around 1 p.m. 77-year old Jan Smith of Clarksville

was in her vehicle and was backing out of a parking spot at 1983 Madison Street when her accelerator got stuck causing her vehicle to lung forward and hit Harmon, who was standing in front of the building.

Police say as a result of the wreck, Harmon sustained severe injuries to his lower body and was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to police, the investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been filed against Smith at this time.
