A Marshall County man is in jail on rape and assault charges after an incident there last night.

Few details are provided by Kentucky State Police, who say a 24-year old female victim was taken to Marshall County Hospital, where troopers were called to around 8pm.

During the course of the investigation, evidence was discovered which led to the arrest of 27-year old Andrew Tribbett of 106 Allen Heights Road, Benton. Tribbett is charged with 1^st degree Assault, 1^st degree Sodomy and 1^st degree Rape and is lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

Trooper Trey Green is the lead investigator and was assisted at the scene by the Benton Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Marshall County EMS.
