Several Fort Campbell soldiers will be honored for their gallantry in action during a ceremony at the local post tomorrow afternoon.

The 506^th Infantry Regiment, 4^th Brigade Combat Team, otherwise known as Currahees will be recognizing three soldiers by awarding them the Silver Star.

Staff Sergeant Al Garcia, Specialist David Stone and Specialist Jacob Wilder will be recognized for heroism and gallantry for their efforts during a fire-fight April 22^nd in Afghanistan’s Paktika Province.

According to military officials, the soldiers each disregarded their own personal safety in order to save the lives of American and Afghan soldiers.
