| Hopkinsville Salvation Army Angel Tree donations still needed |
|
The Hopkinsville Salvation Army kicked off its annual Angel Tree campaign recently and officials say donations are still needed to provide Christmas presents to area children. Salvation Army Lieutenant, David Costellow says residents can adopt an angel and drop off gifts at the Hopkinsville and Oak Grove Wal-marts and also at Bradford Square Mall. According to Costellow, only half of the children signed up on the Angel Tree list have been adopted and he says he hopes area residents who can afford to give extra this year will help ensure children from disadvantaged homes will have a merry Christmas. The deadline to drop off presents is Tuesday, December 12th and for more information about the Hopkinsville Salvation Army’s Angel Tree campaign, contact the organization at 270-885-9633. ** |
